lonie is built with the intention to keep no one lonely. But, it’s major focus is on people that are socially disadvantaged such as introverts. It also solves the current challenges of online dating and helps you find the right companion for you as quickly as possible.


Problem Statement

  • Rise in introvertism and in the number of single people > There has been a rise in the number of young people who identifies themselves as introverts. Introverts, even though successful in other parts of life, find it difficult to connect with people in general, forget dating.
    > This costs them a lot of mental torture where they can’t connect with people but they also don’t want to get left behind all alone.
    > So, they want to find companionship but it gets really difficult for them, specifically.

  • Limited gateways to interact with the opposite genders > This can be attributed to how economies are developing and then also on the Covid pandemic which changed our world making people even more lonelier.

  • Dissatisfaction with Existing Apps > Existing apps have multiple issues that make it impossible to find someone for the majority of the population.

  • Statistical Disparities > “80% users running behind the 20%” is in no way going to help everyone connect with someone else.
    > Also a male to female ratio being higher than 1, says that a significant portion of the male users will never find a companion.
    > Also, this imbalance leads to the female population getting a ton of requests, dropping a paradox of choice on them, which makes them handicapped while finding the right person.

  • Lack of Personalization to show out the real you > Users have to rely on a bunch of few questionnaires and their photos to convey their personality.
    > Realistically, 95% of the population are not models. But, the first impression that has been allowed on other dating apps is from the profile picture. This, for no reason, puts a lot of pressure on people (specifically introverts), on getting the right photo out, with exact angles, adding a lot of fakeness to come out as a cool or sassy person (who deserves a date).

Flutter: quick to develop and implement android apps as well as iOS apps. A lot of modules available to help speed up the process of app development.
